Meeting for PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, Mangan District
Mangan, December 4 (IPR): A video conference meeting of the District Level Committees for PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana in Mangan District was conducted today at the DC’ Chamber, Mangan, Pentok.
The meeting had the presence of ADM Mangan, Mr Pema Wangchen Namkarpa, and attended by Vice President (MNP) Mr Ugen Palzor Kazi, SE Power Mr Kunga Lachenpa, BM State Bank of India Mr Ruben Sangma and officials from the concerned line departments.
The meeting aimed to introduce the scheme to committee members, clarify their roles, and address queries. PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana is a government initiative designed to promote renewable energy by encouraging the adoption of solar power systems. The scheme seeks to provide sustainable energy solutions, reduce electricity costs for households and promote environmental conservation. Beneficiaries may register for the scheme through pmsuryaghar.gov.in and explore financing options via the Jan Samarth portal.
Discussions included a suggestion to explore the potential of wind energy alongside solar initiatives. The participants emphasised the importance of awareness building first and foremost, particularly in rural areas, to ensure the scheme’s effective implementation and reach.
