Medical Equipment, Stationery and Furniture Provided to Yuksam and Tashiding BPHUs
Gyalshing, March 31 (IPR): In a significant step towards strengthening grassroots healthcare infrastructure, medical equipment, stationery and furniture were provided to the Block Public Health Units (BPHUs) at Yuksam and Tashiding under the 15th Finance Commission (15th FC) Health Grant for their operationalisation and functionality.
At Yuksam, the programme was held in the presence of the Zilla Adhyaksha of Gyalshing District Zilla Panchayat (GDZP), Mr Ds Limboo, along with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), District Hospital Gyalshing, Dr Namgay Bhutia and District Planning Officer (DPO), Gyalshing Zilla Panchayat, Mr Pem D Bhutia. The items were formally handed over to the Medical Officer In-Charge (MO/IC) for utilisation in strengthening healthcare service delivery.
Officials present on the occasion emphasised the importance of proper utilisation and maintenance of the equipment and facilities to enhance operational efficiency and ensure improved healthcare services for the public.
Similarly, at Tashiding, the Zilla Member of Kongri–Tashiding Territorial Constituency, Mr Birendra Gurung, handed over the items to the concerned authorities, underscoring the need for their optimal use in delivering better patient care.
The initiative aims to augment essential healthcare services by improving basic infrastructure, thereby ensuring accessible, efficient and quality healthcare for the people of the district.
