Medical Camp organised at Chungthang
Mangan, Feb 23 (IPR): A Medical and Dental Camp for the civilian population and workers was conducted at Chungthang today by the Indian Army in collaboration with the Health & Family Welfare Department and other line departments.
The camp was organised with the aim of providing essential healthcare services and promoting health awareness among residents of the region.
The camp was conducted by a team comprising four Medical Officers, two Dental Officers, and one Medical Specialist. During the camp, laboratory investigations, dental screening, general medical examinations, health awareness lectures, and distribution of essential medicines were carried out.
A total of 207 civilians benefited from the camp, including 61 males, 37 females, and 98 school children. The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from the local population and contributed towards improving access to quality healthcare services in the area.
The programme had the presence of Zilla Panchayat Ms Passangkit Lepcha, ADC (Development), Chungthang, Mr Hem Sagar Kaphley, Deputy Director, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services Department, Dr. Sonam Diki Lepcha, Medical Officer, Chungthang PHC, CO Army Medical Core and employees under the Chungthang sub-division.
