Date: 09-Sep-2025
Mangan, September 9 (IPR): A District Level Orientation on Adi Karma Yogi – Responsive Governance under DAJGUA (Dhatri Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan) was chaired today by SDM Mangan (HQ) Mr Sandeep Kumar, at DAC Mangan.
The Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan, spearheaded by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, is a national movement to build decentralized tribal leadership and governance. The initiative seeks to empower 20 lakh tribal changemakers across 1 lakh villages in 550 tribal-dominated districts through capacity building, convergence and community participation. Supporting this mission, the Adi Karmayogi Portal serves as the digital backbone, enabling large-scale registration, training, monitoring and transformation.
The orientation introduced participants to the three pillars of leadership:
• Adi Karmayogi – Government officers at state, district, block, and panchayat levels ensuring convergence of schemes and responsive service delivery.
• Adi Sahyogi – Youth, teachers, doctors, and service providers bridging access to education, health, awareness, and innovation.
•Adi Saathi – SHG members, villagers, and tribal elders as grassroots changemakers, preserving traditions and strengthening community bonds.
The programme sensitised officials and stakeholders on the principles of responsive governance, highlighting accountability, efficiency and citizen-centric service delivery. District officers, departmental representatives and staff were briefed on objectives, implementation strategies and expected outcomes of the initiative.
The administration emphasised empowering government functionaries to work as true “Karma Yogis”—focusing on duty, integrity and service to the people. Preparations for the Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) were also discussed, with a District Process Lab (DPL) scheduled from September 11th to 13th.
The orientation session concluded with an interactive session where participants shared their views and pledged to strengthen effective, transparent, and participatory governance.
