Mangan Observes ‘Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath’ with Cleanliness Drive

Mangan, October 1(IPR): As part of the nationwide Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) 2026 campaign, the District Administration, Mangan, organised a cleanliness drive under the theme “Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath” at DAC Mangan, today.
The programme witnessed the presence of District Collector, Mangan, Mr Anant Jain, ADC Mr Pema Wangchen Namkarpa, ADC (Development), Mr Karma T Bhutia, SDM Mr Sandeep Kumar, ASP Mr Bijoy Subba, RTO Mr Tempo Rinzing Bhutia, Additional Director (AH&VS) Dr Dichen O Kaleon, Joint Director (AH&VS) Dr Hissey Doma Lepcha, along with officials and staff from various line departments.
The programme commenced with the administration of the Swachhata (Cleanliness) pledge by DC Mr Anant Jain, encouraging collective responsibility towards maintaining cleanliness and ensuring a cleaner environment.
As part of the programme, a demonstration of the Mobile Septage Treatment Unit under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen), Rural Development Department, was carried out. Night Guard (RDD), Mr Ongay Lepcha, provided a detailed explanation of the mobile unit, highlighting its functioning and significance in the scientific management of septage and sanitation.
Addressing the gathering, ADC (Development), Mr Karma T Bhutia, spoke about the underlying objective of the campaign, emphasising the importance of collective participation and sustained efforts towards cleanliness and sanitation.
The programme concluded with a cleanliness drive within the DAC premises, wherein officials and staff from various departments actively participated in the Shramdaan, reaffirming their commitment towards a clean and healthy environment.
