Mangan, Oct 14: Mangan District Taekwondo Team showcased outstanding performance at the 50 Years of Statehood State-level Taekwondo Championship held at Gyalshing, West Sikkim from 10th to 11th October, 2025.
The team was led by Assistant Coach, Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Mangan, Mr Phurba Sherpa.
During the championship, the Mangan District team bagged 5 Gold Medals, 3 Silver Medals, and 3 Bronze Medals.
The following athletes exhibited dedication and hard work and successfully brought home medals for their team:
1. Gold Medalists.
   - Yangki Lepcha (Mangan SSS)
   - Sonon Lepcha (Mangan SSS)
   - Renzongmit Lepcha (NSA School)
   - Tshering Norden Lepcha (Mangan SSS)
   - Milan Dorjee (Little Flower School)
2. Silver Medalists:
   - Smeeti Rai (Mangan SSS)
   - Mousham Limboo (Mangan SSS)
   - Marin Rai (St. Joseph School)
3. Bronze Medalists:
   - Namhang Subba (Mangan SSS)
   - Kunga Thandup (St. Joseph School)
   - Tshering Ongmu Bhutia (St. Joseph School)
