The Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan is a nation wide programme that seeks to create a cadre of 20 lakh tribal change leaders across 1 lakh tribal-dominated villages, 3,000 blocks, over 550 districts and 30 states.
For Mangan district, the Abhiyan will cover 30 villages across four blocks, forming a focused network of trained leaders dedicated to tribal empowerment. Its cadre structure spans three tiers: Aadi Karmayogi—government officers; Aadi Sahayogi—youth leaders, teachers, doctors and social workers; and Aadi Saathi—self-help group members, tribal leaders, volunteers and cultural icons.
After the distribution of certificate to the trainees, the event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by CDPO Ms Sonam Lhaden Lachungpa, who congratulated the trainees and encouraged them to continue working for tribal development and the district’s progress.
More than a training exercise, the Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan is a grassroot governance revolution embodying the spirit of Bharat—inclusive, resilient and inspired action. India is home to over 10.5 crore tribal citizens, and despite decades of focused programmes and significant investment, systemic gaps remain. Guided by the Prime Minister’s leadership, this Abhiyan was launched to bridge those gaps and place tribal communities at the heart of the nation’s future.
