Maneybong-Dentam Becomes First Constituency in Sikkim to Achieve 100% EF Digitisation
Gyalshing, 22 June (IPR): The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the Electoral Roll in Gyalshing District has recorded significant progress, reflecting the dedicated efforts of election officials, Booth Level Officers (BLOs), and the active participation of electors across all four Assembly Constituencies.
As per the latest digitisation report of Enumeration Forms (EFs), Maneybong-Dentam Assembly Constituency has achieved 100% digitisation, becoming the first Assembly Constituency in Gyalshing District as well as in the State of Sikkim to complete the digitisation process under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision exercise.
This remarkable achievement has been made possible through the committed efforts of the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO), Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO), three BLO Supervisors, and twenty-two BLOs, who worked tirelessly to ensure the timely collection, verification, and digitisation of Enumeration Forms.
Other Assembly Constituencies in the district have also demonstrated commendable progress. Yangthang Assembly Constituency has achieved 97.43% digitisation, followed by Yuksom–Tashiding at 97.96%, while Gyalshing–Bermiok has reached 95.63% digitisation.
These achievements have contributed substantially to the district’s overall progress in the ongoing revision exercise and underscore the dedication of field-level election functionaries in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the electoral roll.
The District Election Officer-cum-District Collector, Gyalshing, has been continuously monitoring the progress of the Special Intensive Revision and encouraging field officials through regular reviews and field visits. The District Election Officer appreciated the efforts of the EROs, AEROs, BLO Supervisors, BLOs, electors, and all stakeholders for their unwavering support and cooperation in the successful implementation of the programme.
Efforts are being further intensified to complete the remaining digitisation and verification work within the stipulated timeline, ensuring the preparation of an accurate and inclusive electoral roll for the district.
