MSME-DFO to Organise Two-Day Exhibition-cum-Vendor Development Programme in Gangtok
Gangtok, September 11 (IPR): The MSME Development and Facilitation Office (MSME-DFO), Gangtok, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, convened a press conference today to brief the media on the upcoming Two-Day Exhibition-cum-Vendor Development Programme (VDP), scheduled to be held at Ridge Park, Gangtok, from September 29, 2026.
The press conference was addressed by the Head of Office, MSME-DFO, IEDS, Mr Nirmal Chowdhury, and Assistant Director, IEDS, Dr Rahul Kamble, who highlighted the objectives and key features of the upcoming programme.
The Exhibition-cum-VDP aims to provide a platform for local entrepreneurs and MSMEs from across Sikkim to showcase their products, explore new market opportunities and establish business-to-business linkages with institutional and public sector buyers.
Representatives from major Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and financial institutions, including the Railways, Indian Oil, NTPC, NHPC, RBI, NABARD and SIDBI, are being invited to facilitate direct business interactions, market access and potential procurement opportunities for participating enterprises.
The programme will also focus on creating stronger customer and market linkages for local enterprises, while familiarising participating MSMEs with the provisions of the Public Procurement Policy and Government e-Marketplace (GeM) platform. The exhibition will further provide an opportunity to showcase Sikkim’s local products, culture and traditions.
