MLA sponsors pipe band instruments to PM Shri Jorethang Senior Secondary School
Namchi, July 25 (IPR):
Showcasing goodwill and motivation, MLA Salghari-Zoom constituency and Advisor for Transport and Skill Development Departments, Mr Madan Cintury, personally sponsored pipe band instruments, inclusive of bagpipes, kettle and bass drums, to PM Shri Jorethang Senior Secondary School.
The MLA handed over the band instruments to the Principal PM Shri JSSS, Mrs Nisha Rai, in the presence of the faculty members at his governmental residence, Jorethang, today.
While interacting with the students cum band members of JSSS, the MLA advised them to strive towards progress and improvement and gather accolades in the coming days. He also urged them to uphold a sense of belongingness and work for the preservance of the legacy that their seniors have garnered in the past. He also assured of his support towards the growth and development of the school and the band.
The Principal JSSS thanked the MLA for his act of generosity. She further discussed about the improvement of the school band with help of training from previous band members.
It is to be mentioned that PM Shri Jorethang Senior Secondary School was awarded the first prize in a National Band Competition in 2018.
