MLA Salghari-Zoom sends off 35 beneficaries under DDU-GYK scheme for job placements.
Namchi, July 26 (IPR): A total of 35 students were sent-off by MLA Salghari-Zoom and Advisor for Skill Development and Transport departments, Mr Madan Cintury, for their job placements as commis chef (entry level chef), from Jorethang today.
An initiative of Skill Development Department, Government of Sikkim, the training for the 35 beneficaries was spearheaded by Himali Vikas Sansthan Mangalbaria.
Prior to the placements, the beneficaries had received their training as commis chef for a period of 6 months at Himali Vikas Sansthan, Mangalbaria Livelihood School SICB. The placements and employments are offered by Chennai Barbeque Nation and Compass Group Hyderbad, where the beneficaries will be placed at various locations, for which the job orders were also handed over by the MLA to the beneficaries during the programme.
While addressing the beneficaries, the MLA spoke words of motivation stating that disciplined mindset with the will to work with dedication and the ability to adapt to work environments shall lead an individual towards success. Quoting 'work is worship', the MLA further urged everyone to work with their best ability and diligently. Lastly, the MLA presented his best wishes on their journeys as chefs and wished the success in their careers.
The MLA was accompanied by Assistant Director (SICB) Mr C K Chettri, Managing Director (HVS) Mr Jaganath Sharma, Office Superintendent SICB Mrs Lily Rai, Quality Team Head Mr Leeraj Mani Pradhan, Faculty Trainer (HVS) Ms Pema Yangzom Bhutia and Young Professional (MCC) Ms Nirmaljot Kaur.
