MLA Leads Devotees for 8th Sandhya Aarati Held at Rangeet–Rammam Confluence
Namchi, January 21 (IPR): As the celebrations of the Maghey Sankranti Mela 2026 draw towards their conclusion, the 8th sacred Sandhya Aarati (Evening Prayer) is conducted at the holy confluence of the Rangeet and Rammam rivers. The devotional ceremony is led by MLA and Chief Patron Mr Madan Cintury, accompanied by his spouse Mrs Sashi Kala Gadaily.
The occasion is attended by DC (Soreng) Mr Dhiraj Subedi, Director (SIRD&PR) Mr Bishal Mukhia, SDM (Jorethang) Mr Yogen Syangden, SDM (Namchi) Mr Wangyal Sherpa, SDPO (Mangalbaria) Ms Tara Sharma, along with other dignitaries and devotees.
The Sandhya Aarati is being facilitated each evening by different organisations and committees. Accordingly, the 8th Sandhya Aarati is facilitated by Sikkim Vaisya Samaj and Bihari Jagaran Manch, Jorethang.
It may be mentioned that the Sandhya Aarati at the confluence will be organised for the final time on the evening of 22nd January 2026, coinciding with the concluding day of the 71st edition of the Maghey Sankranti Mela.
