MLA Kabi-Lungchok conducts extensive field visit
Mangan, April 10 (IPR):
MLA Kabi-Lungchok, Mr Thinlay Tshering Bhutia led a field survey at Kundong Tuksut and Medicine Pound (Phamtam Block) under Menrongong GPU, and Tumlong under Rongong-Tumlong GPU on 9th April.
The main purpose of the survey was to assess the potential for development and tourism in Kundong Tuksut, Medicine Pound, and the historical site of Tumlong. The focus was on conservation, heritage preservation, and creating employment opportunities for educated youth through tourism.
Also present in the survey were, BDO (Kabi BAC) Mr Tashi Wangyal Bhutia, AD (Kabi BAC) Mr Rinzing Namgyal, Zilla Panchayat Members, Panchayat Representatives SHO, Kabi-Bakcha Outpost, PI Phodong Police Station, Assistant Engineer, Junior Engineers, Field Staff, Youths and local residents
The survey resulted in highlighting the region’s strong potential for eco-cultural tourism. The collaborative efforts of officials and local stakeholders aim to drive development while preserving the region’s heritage and identity.
