MLA Gyalshing-Bermiok Inaugurates Health and Wellness Centre at Middle Gyalshing

Mr Lok Nath Sharma Area MLA Geyzing- Bermiok today inaugurated the Health and Wellness Centre at Middle Gyalshing, initiated under the XV Finance Commission.
The ceremony was attended by esteemed dignitaries, including Mr Yam Kumar Mishra Chairman Sikkim Milk Union, Dr Bikash Pradhan Director-cum-Chief Medical Officer Gyalshing, Mr Gyarap Dorjee Bhutia BDO Gyalshing, Mr Devendra Pd Sharma President Gyalshing Nagar Panchayat, Panchayat Members, and other notable figures.
In his address, MLA Sharma highlighted the importance of such sub-centers in providing immediate aid to the local community and further informed that the sub-center will offer 14 lab tests and a Medical Officer will be available for consultation three days a week, ensuring accessible healthcare services to the people of the locality.
This initiative aligns with the XV Finance Commission's recommendations to strengthen healthcare infrastructure, particularly in rural areas. The commission has allocated significant funds for health grants to local governments, focusing on urban health and wellness centers, building-less sub-centers, and diagnostic infrastructure.
