MIB Organises National Conference with States/UTs IPR Secretaries
New Delhi, August 25 (IPR): The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) organised the national conference with the Department of Information and Public Relations (IPR) Secretaries of State/UTs at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi today.
The conference was chaired by Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, Mr Chanchal Kumar. Also present were Senior officers from MIB, along with Secretaries from other States/UTs and representing Sikkim were Secretary IPR Ms Annapurna Alley, Director IPR Mr Sunil Mothay and other officials from IPR, Government of Sikkim.
Speaking about India’s creative capabilities, Secretary, MIB highlighted the Prime Minister’s vision of positioning India as the ‘Creative Capital of the World’ in alignment with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. He stated that this initiative would further strengthen India’s soft power and global presence. He also underscored the importance of active participation and collaborative actions required by the respective State Governments in translating this vision into reality and achieving the goals envisioned by the Prime Minister.
The conference deliberated on several key agendas including Right of Way (RoW) mechanism for cable operators by State Government, Roadmap for WAVES 2027, Strengthening WAVES Bazaar and market access, Operationalisation of WaveX State Ecosystem, State Partnership for Create in India Challenge (CIC) – Season 2, Expansion of public service broadcasting infrastructure, Two- Way integration of Indian Cine Hub (ICH)/ Film Facilitation Office (FFO) portal, Adoption of the Single Window India Cine Hub (ICH) portal for Film Shooting and Live Events Permissions amongst others.
The participating states and UT officials shared their experiences and concerns regarding the implementation of various initiatives and discussed ways to further strengthen coordination and engagement with the Ministry. The officials also expressed their willingness to collaborate more closely with the Ministry and actively participate in strengthening the Orange Economy.
