KVK North Sikkim takes VKSA to eight villages
Mangan, June 10:
Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan successfully reached Toong-Naga GPU bringing agricultural assistance to eight villages, namely Toong, Naga, Manul, Rel, Nadey, Meyoung, Namgor, and Kimrong. The event was graced by Panchayat President Shri. Sonam Tshering Lepcha.
The officials from Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) North Sikkim and the line departments interacted with the farmers and created awareness about various Central and State Government agricultural schemes and programs. They also emphasized the importance of adopting modern and sustainable agricultural practices to boost productivity and ensure long-term benefits for the farming community.
Farmers received agricultural inputs, organic manure, spray machines, seed storage cans and soil health cards, the key tools to revive productivity and soil vitality in the region.
Panchayat President Shri. Lepcha praised the collaborative effort, stating, "This initiative marks a new chapter for our farmers, combining tradition with science.”
