KVK North Sikkim Conducts Vikshit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan at Phensong GPU
Mangan, June 9:
Krishi Vigyan Kendra North Sikkim successfully conducted the Vikshit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan at Phensong GPU in collaboration with various line departments. The initiative aimed at empowering local farmers through awareness and access to Government schemes and resources.
Two dedicated teams from KVK and the collaborating departments reached out to seven villages in the region, namely Upper Paney, Lower Paney, Gensol, Safyong, Labi, Sardonic, and Tingshim. During the campaign, officials sensitized farmers about various Central and State Government schemes that can enhance agricultural productivity and sustainability.
A highlight of the event was the "Zero Hour" session, which proved to be highly engaging and informative, allowing farmers to directly interact with officials and clarify doubts.
Towards the conclusion of the programme, agricultural inputs including spray machines and organic manures were distributed to the farmers, aiming to boost on-ground agricultural practices.
KVK North Sikkim remains committed to supporting the farming community through such inclusive and action-oriented outreach programmes.
