Namchi, 31st August (IPR) : District Collector Namchi Ms Anupa Tamling, accompanied by Sub-Divisional Magistrate (HQ) Mr Nim Pintso Bhutia, conducted an official inspection of the ongoing construction of the Poultry Dressing Unit at Lower Kateng, within the Namthang Constituency.
The project, which was funded by the North Eastern Council (NEC) in 2022, remains incomplete. Expressing serious concern over the delay, DC Ms Anupa Tamling issued a strict directive to the contractor, instructing them to ensure the completion of the unit within the stipulated timeframe.
Later in the evening, the officers visited Kabrey to oversee the ongoing preparations for the upcoming State-Level Indra Jatra Festival. The team reviewed arrangements to ensure the event is conducted smoothly and successfully.
