Gyalshing, 8 November (IPR): Under the direction of MLA (Soreng-Chakung), Shri Aditya Golay, a joint inspection cum interaction with the University Management Committee was conducted at the campus of Sikkim Professional University situated at Budang, today. The inspecting team included SDM (Soreng), Shri Ranjan Rai along with Joint Director- Education Department (Soreng), Shri S.P Sharma, BDO(Soreng), Smt Sabina Subba along with the Zilla Panchayats in the presence of the University Management Committee headed by Vice-Chancellor, Smt. Jaswant Sukhi.
Briefing the team, Smt. Sukhi spoke extensively about the programmes and courses that are being offered at present. She also informed that both online and offline classes are being organized simultaneously for the students. She mentioned that due to covid restrictions many courses have been delayed but assured that it will be covered timely.
Discussing other issues, the SDM enquired about the infrastructure and how the University is providing assistance to current students. Issues such as water shortage problems were also thoroughly discussed.
The discussing panel concluded that soon a follow-up coordination meeting will be conducted between the Government Officials and the concerned Stake Holders in the presence of the MLA
