IPR Department observes Sikkim Paryavaran Parva 2026 with Pledge-Taking Ceremony
Gangtok, July 7 (IPR): As part of the State-wide observance of Sikkim Paryavaran Parva 2026, officers and staff of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Sikkim, took the Paryavaran Parva Pledge at Soochna Bhawan today.
The pledge was administered by the Director, Information and Public Relations Department, Mr Sunil Mothey.
The officers and staff reaffirmed their commitment to adopt environmentally responsible practices in their daily lives and to promote sustainable habits for the protection and preservation of the environment. They also resolved to encourage their families, friends and the wider community to embrace eco-friendly practices and contribute towards environmental conservation.
The campaign aims to foster environmental awareness, encourage sustainable lifestyles and inspire collective action towards building a greener, cleaner and more environmentally conscious society.
The Sikkim Paryavaran Parva 2026 will be observed from 1-14 July under the LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) initiative.
