IB Ministry DG(NEZ) Satish Nambudiripad reviews central media units in Gangtok
Gangtok, October 28 (IPR):
Mr K M Satish Nambudiripad, Director General (DG) of the Northeast Zone for the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (I&B), visited central media units stationed in Gangtok, this evening.
Firstly, he visited the Gangtok branch office of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) located at Church Road, Arithang. During his visit, DG Nambudiripad discussed several key areas of regional media strategies to ensure effective communication and dissemination of information to the masses.
Subsequently, he visited All India Radio Gangtok, where he was accorded a warm welcome by Mr Niraj Kumar Pandey, Head of Office, Akashvani/Doordarshan Kendra Gangtok, Dr. Ibomcha Sharma Aribam, Assistant Director/Regional News Unit AIR, Mr Kamal Kumar Srivastava, Assistant Director/Engineering AIR, Mr Tarun Kumar Ghosh, Programme Executive and other officers.
The DG enquired about the transmission of programmes, news and functioning of both units. He also inspected the Regional News Unit and interacted with officers and staff.
