Gangtok, 4th September: (IPR) As part of the nationwide launching of Poshan Abhiyan (National Nutrition Mission), the Minister for Social Justice & Welfare Dr. Mani Kumar Sharma launched the Poshan Abhiyan at the Conference Hall, Mayfair today.

The launching programme organized by Social Justice & Welfare department was attended by Zilla Adhakshya(East), Mr. Samsher Rai, Mayor, Mr. Shakti Singh Choudhary, Principal Secretary, Health & Family Welfare, Mr. K. Sreenivasulu,IAS, Special Secretary, RDD, Mr. Anil Raj Rai and officials from the department.

During the programme, the dignitaries, officials, field functionaries and staffs present took a pledge to be committed in working towards malnutrition–free India.
