HCM participates in the sixth establishment day ceremony of Pari publication held in Soreng

Soreng, 1 October (Information and Public Relations Department): Chief Minister of Sikkim Mr. Prem Singh Tamang participated in the sixth establishment day ceremony of the publication held at the engineering premises in Dakbangla, Soreng. Pari Publication, which has been providing a platform to promote literature and present its creations to new writers, organised the ceremony on the occasion of completing six years of its establishment.
Addressing the ceremony, Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang expressed his best wishes and congratulations to Pari Prakashan on its sixth foundation day. He said that the publication has a crucial purpose to encourage new and emerging authors and create an opportunity to put their literary works in readers. He also congratulated the 15 authors who launched their works on the occasion. He emphasised that new talents in the literature sector need collective support and encouragement.
Commemorating the historic day of 20 August 1992, the Chief Minister noted that the Nepali language got constitutional recognition in the eighth schedule of the Constitution of India. He recalled the contributions made by former Chief Minister Mr. Narbahadur Bhandari and former MP Mrs. Dilkumari Bhandari to give constitutional recognition to the Nepali language.
In the program, the Chief Minister also discussed the importance of [UPSC Reference Text Collection] containing a collection of prescribed curriculum included in the UPSC curriculum in Nepali language. He said that the collection will be a useful resource material for the candidates of the Public Service Commission. Also, she congratulated and congratulated Mr. T.B. Gurung and women's side award winner Mrs. Meena Subba.
The Chief Minister also discussed various initiatives including the scholarship started by the state government, promotion of news publication in Nepali language, Artist Trust conference and the Heritage Guardian Award announced to be awarded on August 15. He emphasised continuous focus on the preservation and promotion of language, literature, arts and cultural heritage.
In this programme, Vice President of ITS and President of Pari Publications, Shri C.P. Sharma, informed about the journey that the organisation has taken forward towards general readers, established on 1 October 2020 and providing a platform to such writers for their literary works towards common readers. He said that the books released on the occasion were the earliest works published under the publication. Also, he appreciated the participation of the youth of Sikkim in the preservation and promotion of the state's rich literary and cultural heritage.
Mr. C.P. Sharma noted that UPSC Reference Text Collection will play an important role in providing essential study materials to UPSC candidates easily, stating that the publication has contributed to the concept of 'Developed Sikkim 2047'.
Prize 2026 was presented to Mrs. T.B. Gurung on behalf of men and Mrs. Meena Subba on behalf of women. Both the award winners expressed their gratitude to Publishing and Chief Minister Mr. Prem Singh Tamang for the honour they were given.
15 literary works composed by various writers were inaugurated at the function. Works launched include a poetry collection, children's poetry, an article collection, hymns, lyrics and other literary creations.

Union Public Service Commission Examination Relevant Lesson Collection (The collection of all the lessons given in the curriculum was also formally launched.
Also, Ms. Rajni Pegha, Mr. DP Officer, Mr. SM. Other books were also launched by Basnet and Ms. Purnima.
In the program, Joom Sal-Ghari MLA Mr. Madan Century, Chief Minister's Political Secretary Mr. Jacob Khaling and Ms. Abigail Rai recited the poem. The poetry recitation made the ceremony more literary and creative.
Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang honoured and congratulated various poets and writers, including Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang, appreciating the contribution made by the Organising Committee of Pari Prakashan.
On this occasion, Heavenly Nirvana Path also launched a book titled 'Aamas Healing: Jungle Dekhi Samaj Samma'.
The ceremony concluded with a commitment to encourage literary creativity, advancing innovative writers and creators and further strengthening the conservation and promotion of Nepali language and literature in Sikkim.
