Gangtok December 28th: (IPR) The Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang chaired a meeting with the representatives of the old settlers, business community of Sikkim and the President Chamber of Commerce, Sikkim.

During the meeting the old settlers and business community of Sikkim requested the Hon’ble Chief Minister to look into their pertinent pending demands.

After a patient hearing the Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang assured them that unlike during the previous government where their demands were kept languishing, the present SKM led Government will lend all support and cooperation and their issues will be solved soon one by one without any further delay.

The Hon’ble Chief Minister also added that in the month of January a high level delegation consisting of his Cabinet Ministers and representatives of the old settlers will visit New Delhi, where they will be meet the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, Hon’ble Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah ji and the Hon’ble Finance Minister Smt Nirmala Sitharaman to dicuss and resolve the pertinent demands of the old settlers and the business community of Sikkim.

The representatives of the old settlers during the meeting also expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards the Hon’ble Chief Minister for his cooperation and support.

The meeting also saw the presence of Hon’ble Minister Tourism Shri B.S Panth and Secretary to Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri S. D Dhakal.
