HCM inaugurated Model Police Station at Kaluk in West Sikkim
Gyalshing, 23 February (IPR): Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) inaugurated Model Police Station at Kaluk in West Sikkim today in the august presence of Deputy Speaker/SLA, Shri Sangay Lepcha, Cabinet Ministers, Chairmen/Advisors, District Collector/West, Superintendent of Police/West, Sub Divisional Magistrate/Soreng, and HoDs from various departments.
The new Model Police Station which falls under Soreng Sub-Division, West Sikkim has been well equipped to facilitate security sector governance at the grassroot level, built at a total cost of Rs. 1,69,00,000/- (Rupees One crore sixty-nine lakhs) only.
Later during the day, the HCM also attended the virtual foundation laying stone of Nayabazaar and Gyalshing Police Station through a video conference.
The HCM also paid a visit to Phunchok Choling Gumpa at Sribadam in West Sikkim where he offered prayers and interacted with the local gentries and patiently listened to their grievances. He also met with the Rimpoche and assured to render all possible support for the progress and proliferation of the monastery.
