On the auspicious occasion of Janmasthami, the Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang extends his best wishes to the people of Sikkim.
Janmashtami commemorates the birth of Lord Krishna, who is believed to be the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
In his message, the Hon'ble Chief Minister stated that just like Lord Krishna was born to destroy evil, similarly, he urged the people to uproot the feeling of hostility and embrace the path of righteousness to terminate social evils and negativity.
He added that the life and the profundities of the teachings of Lord Krishna made a lasting impression upon humankind and is a guide for the modern world and future generations.
"May the eternal presence of Lord Krishna and his divine teachings guide us to lead our life with simplicity, happiness, faith and optimism and ignite the compassion within us and dispel the darkness of ignorance and bless us with his divine protection". he stated
