Governor Honours the 76th Republic Day Award Recipients at Paljor Stadium

Gangtok, January 26 (IPR):
The Award recipients of the 76th Republic Day were honoured today at Paljor Stadium, receiving their awards from Governor Mr Om Prakash Mathur. The Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, presented awards recognising dedicated services to the state, while the Home Department, Government of Sikkim, presented the prestigious State Meritorious Award.
* Mr Sonam Detchu Bhutia, Superintendent of Police, Sikkim, for President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service.
* Mr Hem Raj Rai, Deputy Inspector General, Sikkim, Police Medal for Meritorious Service.
* Mr Bishnu Bhakta Sharma, Assistant Sub Fire Officer, Sikkim, Fire Service Medals for Meritorious Service.
Pin up of President's Correctional Medal for Distinguished Service received from
MHA on the occasion of Independence Day, 2023 was awarded to Head Warder Karma Pelzongpa Bhutia.
Similarly, Pin up of Union Home Minister's Medal for "Excellence in Investigation" received from the MHA on the occasion of Independence Day, 2023 was awarded to Police Inspector Sher Bahadur Manger.
State Meritorious Service award: Citation and cash reward of 1 Lakh Rupees was felicitated to:
* Mr Karma Zimba Bhutia, Joint Director, Motor Vehicle Division Transport Department.
* Ms Rinchen Choden Bhutia, Deputy Secretary, Department of Personnel
* Mr Gyan Bahadur Subba, Deputy Director, District Collectorate, Land Revenue and Disaster Management Department
* Mr Kailash Thapa, BDO, Mangan District, Rural Development Department
* Ms Tseten Lhamu Lepcha, Head Mistress, Gor Secondary School, Dzongu, North Sikkim
* Mr Ganga Ram Mainali, Assistant Sub Inspector, Police Training Centre, Yangang

Additionally, certificate of appreciation for an exemplary contribution in their field of duty for:
* Sikkim Integrated Financial Management System 2.0, PRANALI Division under Finance Department- A Step towards Efficient and Real-Time Governance (A Journey of Innovation) was received by Mr Chopel Tashi Lachungpa. Director, PRANALI, Finance Department.
* Engineering team of Project Swastik, (an undertaking of the State and Central Government) Border Roads Organisation, lead by Brigadier Mr Manoj Gupta comprising of, Maj Dushyant Singh Kushwaha, Officer Commanding, 130, RCC 1764 BRTF, Project Swastik, Colonel AK Dixit, SM, Commander, 758 BRTF, SE (Civil), Mr Sunil Kumar, Commander 764, Border Roads Task Force Project, Swastik, Lt. Cl Nitin Kumar, Chief Engineer, Headquarters, Project Swastik, received the Certificate.
* Mr Ravi K Sharma, Lead Network Administrator of NIC.
* Ten War Veterans of 1971 was accorded with a Certificate of Appreciation, shawl and a cash reward of Rs. 20,000/- from the Rajya Sainik Board Grant,

* 2nd Battallion Meghalaya Police was the Guest Platoon for the event.
