Gangtok District Administration Holds Interview Guidance Session for SPSC Combined Examination 2022
Gangtok, October 18 (IPR): The Gangtok District Administrative Centre successfully organised a one-day Interview Guidance Session for candidates appearing in the upcoming SPSC Combined Examination 2022 today.
This innovative initiative by the Gangtok District Administrative Centre is one of the activity of the year-long series of activities under the theme "Sunaulo, Samridha, and Samarth Sikkim," commemorating Sikkim’s Statehood Day celebration on May 16, 2025.
The session was attended by key officials, including Sr SP Gangtok, Mr Tenzing Loden Lepcha; DC Gangtok, Mr Tushar G Nikhare; ADC Gangtok, Mr Sisum Wangchuk Bhutia; ADC (HQ), Mr Tshering N Theengh (SCS); SDM (HQ) Gangtok, Mr GL Meena; Assistant Collector, Mr Sandeep Kumar, and Mr Aswin Nirola from the State Engineering Service.
The session aimed to provide aspirants with comprehensive guidance on interview preparation. SDM (HQ), Mr GL Meena commenced the program by welcoming all dignitaries and participants. He delivered a detailed presentation on the SPSC interview syllabus and core concepts. The presentation covered the expectations of the interview board, the key dos and don’ts for candidates, and frequently asked questions (FAQs). A Q&A session followed, where participants actively engaged with queries related to interview strategies.
Sr SP Gangtok, Mr Tenzing Loden Lepcha, focused on effective communication skills, emphasising both verbal and non-verbal techniques. He provided insights into the best practices for answering interview questions confidently and clearly.
DC Gangtok, Mr Tushar G Nikhare, addressed the inevitability of success and failure in life, urging participants to embrace challenges and be prepared with a Plan B. He offered valuable advice on managing performance during the interview process.
ADC Gangtok, Mr Sisum Wangchuk Bhutia, and ADC (HQ) Mr Tshering N Theengh shared practical examples of potential interview questions, offering tips on handling pressure and presenting oneself effectively.
Assistant Collector, Mr Sandeep Kumar discussed the ethical dimensions of interviews, the importance of staying informed on current affairs, and the key traits required to succeed.
The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, during which the participants’ concerns were addressed. SDM (HQ) Mr GL Meena expressed gratitude to the dignitaries and participants for their active involvement. The schedule for the mock interview will be announced soon.
