Mangan, August 17 (IPR): The Mangan Police Department, in collaboration with the District Administration Centre, Mangan, will organise the First Stakeholder Meeting on the Traffic and Mobility Resilience Strategy (TMRS) for Mangan District on August 19, 2026 (Wednesday), at 11:00 AM at the District Administration Hall, Mangan.
The meeting is being convened with the objective of strengthening traffic management, enhancing mobility and promoting safer and more resilient road connectivity across the district, particularly in preparation for the upcoming peak tourist season.
Representatives from the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), Indian Army, TAAS, Taxi Drivers’ Associations Z and J, tourism stakeholders, along with other concerned departments and key stakeholders, have been invited to participate in the meeting.
The stakeholder consultation will provide a common platform to deliberate on existing and anticipated traffic and mobility challenges, particularly those arising from increased tourist inflow and vehicular movement during the peak season in Mangan District. Discussions will focus on identifying practical solutions, improving inter-agency coordination and developing effective strategies for ensuring smooth and safe movement of traffic.
The initiative seeks to foster greater coordination among law enforcement agencies, road authorities, transport operators, tourism stakeholders and other concerned stakeholders, with emphasis on safer roads, smoother mobility, efficient traffic management and a better travel experience for residents and visitors.
The meeting is expected to lay the foundation for a coordinated and sustainable traffic and mobility management framework for Mangan District, while strengthening preparedness for the challenges associated with the peak tourist season.
