Final Briefing Session for EVM Commissioning Team under Mangan district
Mangan, April 3 (IPR): The final Briefing Session for the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) Commissioning Team under Mangan district was held at the Election Conference Hall, DAC Pentok, today.
The main objective of the final briefing session was to thoroughly familiarise the EVM Commissioning Team with materials, EVMs and the process of commissioning. Mr Hem Kumar Chettri DEO reiterated the importance of the efficiency of the officers and all involved with the election-related tasks. The session was led by Mr Palden Lachungpa, District level Master Trainer-(DLMT). The trainees were briefed about the various components of EVM and step-by-step procedures for material management. Electoral procedures and the responsibilities of the attendees were also revised.
Thereafter, the session also had a hands-on training to familiarise the attendees with the topics covered in the training, assuring address of queries, if any. It is to be mentioned that, the EVM commissioning is to be conducted on the following dates:
5th April 2024 (Friday) for 29-Kabi Lungchok & 31-Lachen Mangan.
6th April 2024 (Saturday) for 30-Dzongu & 32-Sangha.
7th April 2024 (Sunday) for parliamentary constituency of all the three constituencies of the Mangan district.
The training session also had the presence of Mr Pema Wangchen Bhutia SDM Mangan, Mr Prakash Rai SDM Kabi, Mr Arun Chettri SDM Dzongu and Mr Kiran Thata SDM Chungthang.
