Gangtok, December 6 (IPR): The Fifth Session of the Tenth Assembly of Sikkim Legislative Assembly commenced from todayThe Session was presided over by Speaker, Sikkim Legislative Assembly, Shri L.B. Das.
Speaker, SLA, Shri L.B. Das stated that the State of Sikkim has lost three eminent political personalities, namely, former Deputy Chief Minister of Sikkim, Late Shri P.T. Lucksom, former Member of the Sikkim Legislative Assembly, Late Shri Sukumar Pradhan and former Minister, Late Shri Thukchuk Lachungpa.
Thereafter, the House observed two minutes of silence as a mark of respect to the departed souls.
The Speaker adjourned the day's session till tomorrow, the 7th of December 2021 given the funeral ceremony of late Shri Thukchuk Lachungpa to be held today. The obituary references shall be taken up tomorrow, he informed
