Gyalshing, April 4(IPR): Today marked the initiation of the expenditure reconciliation meeting for all contesting candidates of the Assembly Constituencies within Gyalshing District scheduled for April 4th, 10th, and 16th, 2024, the meeting convened at the conference hall of the District Administrative Centre, Rabdentse.
Presided over by the Expenditure Observer for Gyalshing District, Ms. Amuldeep Kaur, IRS, alongside ADC(Gyalshing)-cum-RO, Ms. Pari Bishnoi, IAS, accompanied by Assistant Expenditure Observers(AEOs) and their respective accounting teams.
In attendance were the Election Agents of all contesting candidates from the four Assembly Constituencies, equipped with the expenditure register.
The primary objective of the meeting is to rigorously monitor the expenses incurred by the candidates in accordance with the Video Surveillance Team (VST), candidates' self-declarations, and permits issued by competent authorities. This monitoring process also includes a meticulous comparison of accounts with the shadow register maintained by the district's accounting team.
The commencement of this meeting underscores the commitment of the electoral process to uphold transparency and accountability in campaign financing.
