Empowering Youth: Training Programme on Basic Photography Commences
Pakyong, October 13 (IPR): The Commerce and Industries Department, in collaboration with Topaz Print and Publication, launched a two-month training programme on Basic Photography, under the Raising & Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) scheme of the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, at Eco Paradise, Rangpo today.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Councillor, Rangpo Nagar Panchayat, Mr Pinku Kumar Prasad.
The two-month basic photography training programme has been launched to empower the unemployed youth and foster self-reliance, while focusing on achieving the Chief Minister’s vision of “One Family, One Entrepreneur.”
Comprising a total of 20 participants, the programme aims to equip individuals with essential photography knowledge and skills to enhance their employability opportunities.
As part of the educational experience, participants will also be taken on excursions to gain exposure. Furthermore, a photography competition will also be organised to encourage young minds and the best candidates will be provided opportunities to pursue advanced-level courses for further skill enhancement.
Emphasising various entrepreneurship development schemes, Inspector, DIC Pakyong, Mr Jikmee Lepcha, encouraged the attendees to utilise the knowledge provided through the training to create opportunities for themselves, further assuring that the department would provide necessary assistance to facilitate their entrepreneurial journey.
Also present were officials from the C&I Department, Topaz Print and Publication and participants from various regions.
