District-Level Committee Soreng Holds Meeting on Vibrant Village Programme-II
Soreng, June 30 (IPR): The District Level Committee (DLC) under the Vibrant Village Programme-II (VVP-II) convened a meeting today at the District Administrative Centre (DAC), Soreng, under the chairmanship of the District Collector and Chairperson of the Committee, Mr Dhiraj Subedi.
The meeting focused on the preparation and timely submission of the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the implementation of the Vibrant Village Programme-II in Soreng district, with discussions centred on key measures, priorities, and challenges.
Addressing the meeting, the DC-cum-Chairperson highlighted the key focus areas of the programme and urged all line departments to prioritise the district's developmental needs while ensuring the timely submission of the Detailed Project Report (DPR). He further emphasised the importance of preparing a comprehensive, practical, and well-coordinated action plan and DPR to ensure the effective implementation of the programme.
Initially, SDM (HQ) Mr Prem K Subba delivered the introductory remarks and presented an overview of the Vibrant Village Programme-II, outlining its objectives, implementation strategies, and key interventions. The technical session covering the programme's ten thematic areas and project categories was presented by AD (IT) Mr Amir Bhandari.
During the meeting, members deliberated on the preparation of the Detailed Project Report (DPR), with representatives from various line departments sharing suggestions and recommendations to facilitate the successful implementation of the programme. The proposed DPR will subsequently be submitted to the State Level Screening Committee (SLSC) for further consideration and approval.
Among those present at the meeting were Panchayat President and Members (Ribdi Bhareng GPU), Additional Director (AH&VS) Dr Kishore Thapa, CEO (Education) Mr Tenzing Dorjee Bhutia, Superintendent of Engineer (Power) Mr Gyanendra Sharma, Divisional Engineers, CDPO (Soreng), Mrs Gauri Tamang, General Manager (DIC), Ms Anula Gurung, Senior Welfare Officer (SWD), Mrs Prativa Tamang, Assistant Engineers, Assistant Directors, officers and officials from Border Guard Force (BGF), and other field officials from various line departments.
