District Officers Conduct Joint Inspection of Ongoing Infrastructure Work at EMRS Swayem
Mangan, August 25: As directed by the District Collector-cum-Chairman, EMRS Swayem, Mangan District, a joint inspection of the ongoing infrastructure and construction works at Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS), Swayem, was conducted on August 25, 2026 under the leadership of Shri Sandeep Kumar, IAS, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Headquarters), Mangan District.
During the inspection, SDM (HQ), Mangan, undertook a comprehensive review of various ongoing infrastructure projects at the school premises. The inspection covered the newly constructed water reservoir for the school’s water supply system, staff quarters, auditorium, and the construction of the school playground. The team also reviewed the existing hostel facilities, mess, kitchen, and academic block to assess the overall condition and adequacy of the infrastructure.
During the course of the inspection, the SDM directed the concerned engineers and officials to ensure strict compliance with the provisions and specifications stipulated in the Detailed Project Report (DPR). He further instructed the concerned authorities to closely monitor the quality and progress of the works and ensure their completion within the prescribed timelines. Emphasis was also laid on maintaining the required standards of workmanship and ensuring effective utilisation of the available resources.
Further, the SDM also interacted with the students of EMRS Swayem and took feedback regarding the facilities and arrangements being provided to them.
The joint inspection team comprised Shri Ganesh Thapa, Senior Welfare Officer Social Welfare Department Mangan, Assistant Engineer Social Welfare Department Mangan District, Junior Engineers Social Welfare Department Mangan District, Welfare Inspector Social Welfare Department Mangan District, Ward Panchayat Swayem, Principal, EMRS Swayem, and concerned contractors.
