District Collector Visits Landslide-Affected Families at Rimbi
Gyalshing, October 17 (IPR): District Collector-cum-District Magistrate, Gyalshing, Mr Tenzing D. Denzongpa, accompanied by Panchayat President Timbrong GPU Mr Mangal Rai, Zilla Panchayat Member Miss Sabitri Rai, District Project Officer, District Disaster Management Authority (DPO, DDMA), Mr Ganesh Kumar Rai, District Information Officer (DIO), Gyalshing, Mr Rajen Tamang and concerned Ward Panchayat Members, visited the temporary makeshifts and housing site for the landslide-affected families at Rimbi in Gyalshing District today evening.
During the visit, the District Collector interacted with the affected families, listened to their concerns and also handed over relief materials to the affected families residing in the temporary makeshifts. Mr Denzongpa assured the affected families that, after the Durga Puja holidays, he would revisit the area along with the concerned district officers and all concerned stakeholders to conduct a detailed review of the situations. He further informed that collective efforts and cooperation among all concerned stakeholders was much-needed to resolve any pending issues.
He also extended his warm greetings to all the affected families on the occasion of Durga Puja, wishing them a happy, peaceful and prosperous festival.
The visit reaffirmed the district administration’s continued engagement with the affected families and its commitment to assessing their concerns and extending necessary assistance.
