District Collector Conducts Landslide Inspection and Visits Relief Camp at Rimbi Singlitam
Gyalshing, September 15 (IPR): The District Collector-cum-Magistrate, Gyalshing, Mr Tenzing D Denzongpa, conducted an inspection of landslide affected area and visited the relief camp at Rimbi Singlitam today to inspect the situation and interact with the affected families and residents.
The District Collector was accompanied by SDM Yuksam Mr Jigme Bhutia, DE Roads and Bridges Department Mr Santosh Singh, BDO Yuksam Mr Sanman Limboo, RO-cum-DD Yuksam Mr Amrit Raj Rai, DPO DDMA Mr Ganesh Rai, DIO Mr Rajen Tamang, Panchayat President Mr Mangal Rai, panchayat members of Rimbi Timbrong GPU, along with officials from the Forest and Police Departments and various other departments.
OSD Ms Sapna Subba and Additional Political Secretary Mr Madhusudan Sharma also met the District Collector at the relief camp.
During the visit, the District Collector interacted with the affected families and residents. Locals raised various queries and concerns, following which possible solutions were discussed with the officials concerned.
Addressing the gathering at the camp, Mr Denzongpa stated that everyone must stand together during the difficult situation and urged the affected families and the community to remain positive. He assured that the District Administration is ready to extend all possible assistance and support and stands firm with all families affected by the situation.
Towards the end of the visit to the relief camp, cheques were also distributed as relief assistance to the affected individuals. The recipients included Mr Surendra Rai, Mr Suk Bahadur Rai and Ms Sushma Limboo.
