Day 2 of Training Programme for Enumerators and Supervisors for Census 2027 for Mangan District
Mangan, April 1 (IPR): On the second day of the training programme for enumerators and supervisors for Census 2027 for Dzongu Subdivision, specific sessions were conducted by District Census Officer Mr Palden Lachungpa, Official from Census Office Mr Pronay Acharjee and SIRD Trainer Mr Suren Mohra, focusing on all aspects of the house listing and housing census.
Emphasis was laid on concepts, definitions, and proper interpretation of questions. Participants were guided in understanding the intent of each question, avoiding common errors and ensuring the correct classification of data.
The training focused on practical aspects of data collection. Guidance was provided on recording accurate responses, handling field situations, maintaining consistency and ensuring completeness of information during household surveys.
A technical session was conducted on data entry by Enumerators and verification by Supervisors using the HLO Supervisor App. The step by step process of filling responses, checking errors and validating data was explained. Roles and responsibilities in Self-Enumeration (SE) and the importance of coordination between Enumerators and Supervisors were also highlighted.
Another session covered the do’s and don’ts of mobile app usage and data security. Participants were informed about maintaining confidentiality, proper use of login credentials, safe handling of devices, and following security protocols to prevent data misuse.
Later, a hands on session on the Houselisting Operation (HLO) App was conducted for Enumerators and Supervisors, focusing on data entry, app navigation, error correction and proper workflow during field operations.
Overall, the sessions were informative and helped participants gain clarity on both conceptual and practical aspects, enhancing their preparedness for the smooth and accurate conduct of Census 2027 activities.
The training programme for enumerators and supervisors of Dzongu Sub Division came to an end today. Training for the remaining subdivisions will continue as per the schedule.
