Gangtok, August 21 (IPR): The District Election Officer-cum-District Collector, Gangtok, Mr Rohan Agawane, conducted the final hearings of the Claims and Objections process under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls 2026 in his chamber at the District Administrative Centre (DAC), Gangtok, today.
A total of 110 cases were taken up for hearing at the DEO level as part of the final stage of the Claims and Objections process.
The Assembly Constituency-wise details are as follows:
* 16-Tumen-Lingi: 7 hearings
* 17-Khamdong-Singtam: 7 hearings
* 23-Shyari: 24 hearings
* 24-Martam-Rumtek: 7 hearings
* 25-Upper Tadong: 14 hearings
* 26-Arithang: 17 hearings
* 27-Gangtok: 11 hearings
* 28-Upper Burtuk: 23 hearings
* 32-Sangha: No hearings conducted
The hearings form part of the final stage of the Claims and Objections process under SIR 2026, facilitating the examination and disposal of cases related to the electoral rolls.
