DEO Soreng Chairs Monthly Coordination Meeting with Political Parties in Soreng District
Soreng, July 22 (IPR):
The District Collector and District Election Officer (Soreng), Mr Dhiraj Subedi convened the monthly coordination meeting with representatives of various political parties at DAC Soreng, today.
During the meeting, an in-depth discussion was held concerning the key electoral preparations and processes, particularly in view of the upcoming Special Intensive Revision of electoral roll. The meeting also discussed the rationalization of polling stations, wherein the DEO provided detailed insight into the Election Commission of India guidelines regarding the rationalization process and urged full cooperation from all the representatives.
The appointment and nomination of Booth Level Agents was also discussed in detail. The DEO requested party representatives to submit the names of nominated BLAs at the earliest, emphasising the critical role of these BLAs in the electoral process. The meeting also addressed the functioning of Grievance Redressal Mechanism, assuring party representatives that all concerns would be handled promptly in accordance with ECI norms.
Further, the DEO called upon all political party representatives to actively participate in the inspections of polling stations and to cooperate fully with BLOs during the rationalization process.
The meeting also had the presence and participation of ADC (I) Mr DR Bista, ADC (II) Mr Santosh Kr. Allay, SDM (HQ) Mr Prem K Subba, OS (Election Cell, Soreng) Ms Ambika Rai, officials and staff from Election Cell Soreng.
