Soreng, July 23 (IPR):
District Collector (Soreng) and Chairperson (DLVC), Mr Dhiraj Subedi chaired the District Level Verification Committee (DLVC) meeting for the “Shravan Kumar Award” under Soreng district at District Administrative Centre Soreng, today.
The meeting conducted a detailed verification of nomination received from each block, ensuring that all submissions met eligibility criteria. During the verification process, the committee thoroughly examined the Gram Sabha minutes, all relevant supporting documents and the Verification Report submitted by the Police (Special Branch). The verification aimed to ensure accuracy, transparency and compliance with procedural requirements before moving forward with further action.
It is to be noted here that, the “Shravan Kumar Award”, recognises sons and daughters of the state who have shown exemplary selfless care, love, and support to their elderly parents, scheduled to be conferred on August 15, as part of state level Independence Day celebration.
The meeting also had the presence and participation of Zilla Adhakshya (Soreng) Mrs Tila Devi Gurung, Zilla Upa-Adhakshya (Soreng) Mr CB Kami, ADC (Development) Mr Gaayas Pega, ASP (Soreng) Mr Parshu Sharma, CMO (Soreng/Gyalshing) Dr. Namgay Bhutia, Senior Welfare Officer (SWD) Mrs Prativa Tamang, BDOs, ASI (Special Branch) Mr Buddha Chhetri and officials of concerned line departments.
Later, the meeting concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by ADC (Development) Mr Gaayas Pega.
