DC Namchi Conducts Surprise Inspection of SDM Office, Jorethang
Namchi, August 31st (IPR): District Collector, Namchi, Ms Anupa Tamling, led a team on a surprise inspection of the Office of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Jorethang, today.
The inspection was conducted as part of the District Administration’s initiative, undertaken in accordance with the directives of the State Government, to review the functioning of various government offices, assess staff attendance and work efficiency, and ensure effective governance and delivery of public services.
During the inspection, the DC reviewed the functioning of various sections of the office and assessed staff attendance. She also inspected the office infrastructure and availability of essential facilities, including separate washrooms for male and female staff and facilities for persons with disabilities (PwDs), along with adequate water supply.
The DC provided suggestions for improving the delivery of public services and ensuring greater efficiency and coordination among staff. She also heard the requirements put forward by the office staff regarding essential amenities and directed them to submit proper proposals for consideration.
Following the inspection, the DC chaired a meeting regarding the proposed consolidation and physical verification of land records pertaining to land identified for acquisition and mutation for various government departments at Karfectar. Officers and representatives of the concerned departments involved in the land acquisition process for construction and infrastructure development participated in the meeting.
The DC was accompanied by ADC (HQ)Namchi Mr Subash Ghimirey, SDM (HQ) Namchi, Mr Nim Pintso Bhutia, SDM Jorethang Mr B B Rai, DCSO Namchi (F&CS) Mr Tenzing Bhutia, Joint Director (AH&VS) Dr Phurba Lepcha, Joint Director (Education)Ms Archana Gurung, RO/AD (LR&DM) Mr Tashi Lepcha, Head Revenue Surveyor (LR&DM), Mr Palden Lama, Veterinary Officers (AH&VS) Ms Manisha Chettri and Ms Fiona Lepcha, Food Inspectors (F&CS), Mr Ritu Sharma and Ms Neema Tamang, Assistant Sub-Inspector (F&CS) Ms Amrita Kalikotey and Assistant Revenue Surveyor (LR&DM), Ms Anugra Rasaily.
