DC Gyalshing Inaugurates District-Level Launching of HPV Vaccination
Gyalshing,February 28(IPR): District-level launching of HPV Vaccination against Cervical Cancer was held today at District Hospital Gyalshing.It was inaugurated by the District Collector Gyalshing, Mr Tenzing D Denzongpa.
The programme was organised by the Health Care & Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Sikkim.
The event had the presence of CMO Gyalshing, Gynaecologist, Paediatrician, Medicine Specialist, staff of District Hospital Gyalshing and beneficiaries along with their parents.
A brief overview of the HPV vaccination programme was delivered by the District Immunization Officer. A total of 7 eligible beneficiaries received the HPV vaccine during the session, and Certificates were handed over to the beneficiaries by the Chief Guest.
No Adverse Event Following Immunization (AEFI) was reported, and all beneficiaries remained stable after the observation period of 30 minutes. All participants were served high tea at the conclusion of the programme.
