DC Gyalshing Chairs Preparatory Meeting for District-Level 212th Bhanu Jayanti 2026 Celebration
Gyalshing, June 18 (IPR): District Collector Gyalshing, Mr Tenzing D. Denzongpa, chaired the preliminary preparatory meeting for the district-level celebration of the 212th Bhanu Jayanti 2026 here at the Conference Hall, District Administrative Centre, Gyalshing.
The meeting commenced with a brief introductory address by Additional District Collector (ADC) Gyalshing, Mr Suresh Rai, who outlined the responsibilities to be undertaken by the concerned stakeholders and engaged departments.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the necessary arrangements to ensure the successful observance of the 212th Bhanu Jayanti 2026 celebrations in the district. Special emphasis was placed on the list of invitees, proposed venue, logistical arrangements, and various categories of competitions to be organised as part of the celebrations.
Under the chairmanship of the DC, the house unanimously approved the constitution of the Celebration and Literary Committees. The designated members under these committees were entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring smooth and successful conduct of the event.
At the outset, DC Gyalshing also administered the pledge under the Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan to all attendees.
The meeting was attended by Superintendent of Police (SP) Gyalshing, Mr Tshering Sherpa, Zilla Panchayat Member of Yangthang–Tikjuk Territorial Constituency (TC) Mr Purna Bir Limboo, Zilla Panchayat Member of Gyalshing–Omching TC Mr Sagar Sharma, representatives and Panchayat Presidents of Tikjuk–Kyongsha GPU and Yangthang GPU, Heads of Offices, Administrator Indian Nepali Literature and Research Centre Kyongsha, President Paschim Sikkim Sahitya Prakashan, President Kyongsha Sarva Sewa Samaj, President Aarigaon Samaj, and President Jan Sewa Samiti Guruthang among others.
