DC Gyalshing Attends the Gyalshing Open Compound Archery Tournament 2025
Gyalshing, January 13 (IPR):
The District Collector, Gyalshing, Mr Tenzing Dorjee Denzongpa, graced the 5th day of Gyalshing Open Compound Archery Tournament 2025 at Phethang as the Chief Guest. The 21 day long tournament, organized by West District Archery Association, saw enthusiastic participation from archers representing Sikkim, Bhutan, and West Bengal, with a total of 17 teams competing for top honors.
The District Collector commended the organisers for their commendable efforts in promoting traditional sports like archery, which hold significant cultural and historical value for the region. He congratulated the winners and participants for their outstanding performances and highlighted his support for initiatives aimed at preserving and promoting local culture and sports.
