Soreng, March 20 (IPR): On the first day of filing of nomination papers for the General Elections, 2024 at the offices of the Returning Officers, Ms Yishey D Yongda, DEO Soreng informed that there was no nomination filed by any candidate, today.
It may be informed that under Soreng district, there are four Assembly Constituencies namely; 05- Rinchenpong (BL), 06- Daramdin (BL), 07- Soreong Chakung, 08- Salghari Zoom (SC).
Further, as per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India (ECI), the last date for filing nominations is March 27, 2024 (WEDNESDAY) from 11 am toll 3 pm.
The scrutiny of the nominations will be conducted on March 28, 2024 and the withdrawal of nominations will be done until March 30,2024. The poll day is scheduled for April 19, 2024.
