DAC Mangan facilitates District Level Seminar on "Stress Management at Work Place"
Mangan, May 7 (IPR): District Administrative Centre Mangan in collaboration with Brahma Kumari Meditation Centre Mangan conducted a district level seminar on "Stress Management at Work Place" in the DAC conference hall today.
The seminar aimed to tackle mental health challenges faced by employees at workplace. It focused on recognising, understanding, and addressing these issues to promote a healthier and more supportive working environment. The goal was to equip the participants with tools and knowledge needed to foster mental well-being at work.
The seminar was attended by Additional District Magistrate Mr Pema Wangchen Namparka, Head of Offices, Officers and officals of the district.
Mr Rajyoji Ramnath, resource person from Brahma Kumari presented a session on sensitive communication and stress management. He explained the significance of concentration, thought control, observation, mind, intellect and mental exercise.
The session focused on combination of sensitive communication and stress management to create an environment where employees feel supported and understood.
The session focused on fostering open dialogues and addressing stressors collaboratively, through which organisations can promote a culture of mental well-being, reduce workplace anxiety, and improve overall productivity and morale.
Mr Achaktam Bhai, another resource person from Brahma Kumari spoke on the topic of meditation, and stated that Brahma Kumaris practice and teach a form of meditation known as "Raj Yoga," which emphasises the experience of inner silence and the realization of one's relationship with the divine.
Through regular meditation, practitioners can cleanse negative thoughts, develop positive virtues, and experience a state of inner tranquility.
The goal is to achieve self-transformation, enhance mental well-being, and foster a sense of compassion and love towards others.
The participants were also given a glimpse of meditation through a short session guided by the resource persons.
Earlier, the programme began with a welcome note by Additional District Magistrate, Mr Pema Wangchen Namkarpa. He briefed about the seminar and stated that the session was directed on developing self well-being and focusing on our mental health.
