Counting of votes for Sikkim Parliamentary Constituency commences at Gangtok district
Gangtok, June 4 (IPR):The strong room located at DIET College in Burtuk was unsealed for the counting process of the Sikkim Parliamentary Constituency (Assembly Segment) for the 2024 General Elections today.
The strong room was opened at 7.00 a.m. in the presence of Mr. Tushar G Nikhare, the District Election Officer (DEO) and District Collector of Gangtok, who also serves as the Returning Officer for the Sikkim Parliamentary Constituency (Assembly Segment).
The Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) that were used for polling and stored in the room were relocated to the counting halls at SCERT and DIET College.
The counting of EVMs for the Sikkim Parliamentary Constituency (Lok Sabha) commenced at 8:30 a.m.
