Coordination Meeting Held for 79th Independence Day Celebration at Pakyong
Pakyong, July 15 (IPR):
The first coordination meeting for the District-level 79th Independence Day Celebration 2025 was convened today at the Conference Hall of the District Administrative Centre, Pakyong.
The meeting was chaired by the District Collector, Pakyong, Mr Rohan Agawane, alongside ADC (HQ) Mr GL Meena, SDM (HQ) Mr Thendup Lepcha, and attended by heads of offices from various departments and members of the Pakyong Sporting Club.
The meeting focused on outlining preparatory measures and inter-departmental coordination to ensure the smooth and organised conduct of the Independence Day celebration. Several committees were constituted, and responsibilities were delegated to concerned departments for effective execution of assigned tasks.
Detailed deliberations were also held on several important components of the celebration, including cultural performances, stage decoration, the ceremonial parade, flag hoisting arrangements, provision of medical assistance, traffic regulation, security deployment, management of the sound system, and more.
Additionally, it was also decided that the District-level celebration will take place at the St Xavier’s School Ground, Pakyong.
