Namchi, 20  March: Kitam-Manpur GPU conducted Annual Gram Sabha at Hall of Munal Club to adopt its Annual Plan of GPDP and Labour Budget of VB G RAM-G for FY 2026-27. 'JAL ARPAN DIWAS' and 'JAL SANKALP' under the aegis of JAL MAHOTSAV are also being celebrated along with Gram Sabha.
The Sabha was conducted under the chairmanship of  Shri Dipak Bhandari, Honourable Panchayat President of Kitam-Manpur GPU, in the presence of District Collector, Namchi District Ms Anupa Tamling, Zilla Panchayat Ms Remika Tamang, Ward Panchayat of four different ward, BDO Namchi and Officials from the Line Department.
Representatives from SHGs, Standing Committee, Aganwadi workers, Former Panchayats, Schools, PHSC, and Club were also present. The Conduction of Annual Gram Sabha concluded under Namchi Block.
Important issues that were discussed were
1. Enrollment of a child under the age of 3 yrs in ICDS.
2. Removal of accidental vehicles from Kitam Bazar Premises.
3. "ONE FAMILY ONE SPORTS PERSON"- a private member bill introduced by Shri Dhan Bahadur Pradhan.
4. A private member bill introduced by Shri Bishal Pradhan regarding damage to private holding land and CC Footbath from water discharge by NH710 drain at Sawney Kholsa.
As a part of 'JAL MAHOTSAV', which is being celebrated across the country from 8th March to 22nd March 2026, Kitam-Manpur GPU celebrated 'JAL ARPAN DIWAS' & 'JAL SANKALP' along with Gram Sabha. District Collector, Namchi District Ms Anupa Tamling delivered a speech on Jal Arpan Diwas and why it is being celebrated. She also focussed on the importance and significance of the conservation of Water.
At the end, the District Collector administered the Pledge of Jal Arpan Diwas to the House.
